If you have never seen a video of a bunny eating raspberries, you haven’t lived. Before you read on, you must watch the following video.

Bunnies aren’t the only one’s who like raspberries! The United States has 8,052 raspberry farms totaling 23,104 acres (Census of Ag, USDA, 2012).  In addition, this delicious treat contains strong antioxidants such as Vitamin C, quercetin and gallic acid that fight against cancer, heart and circulatory disease and age-related decline. What’s not to like‽

Raspberries can be eaten many different ways. Here are some ideas next time you are craving these popular berries:

Plain.

Raspberries are delicious right from the vine! In fact, in early August, you can pick your own at Spencer’s Farm in Noblesville, IN. Wherever you get them, they make a scrumptious and healthy snack.

With Chocolate.

In my opinion, this might just be the best way to enjoy them. Try your hand at these Chocolate-Filled Raspberries Raspberries. However, if you want a simpler recipe, instead of making the chocolate yourself, buy store bought chocolate.

With Lettuce.

I know, I know.. why would I include lettuce. However, raspberries are the perfect way to add fresh flavor, and color to a salad! Throw them into any salad you make, or try this simple recipe.

With Bread.

This is by far the most popular way to enjoy this wonderful fruit. There are many different ways to prepare them. You could make a raspberry cobbler, raspberry crisp, or even raspberry scones.

Overall, this superfood is a great way to go for either a healthy snack, or a decadent dessert!
